As most of you know, I lost my mother in February and it has been – and still is – quite a journey! As I am navigating through this walk, the Lord has really been speaking to me lately about the processes we go through in our walk of life, or our life’s Journey. You know so many times we look at our life or our journey and compare it to someone else’s. We think, “Why can’t I be where he is or why do I have to go through this? So and so didn’t have to do this!”

Psalm 139:16 says: “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”

The Lord created each of us uniquely and knew of every moment of our journey in the beginning so why would our process be the same as someone else’s? As we go through this journey of life our journey may not look like someone’s else’s but the word we stand on is always the same, the words of our Father!

Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leaves you nor forsake you.”

I can attest to many situations in my own journey where the Lord used the process I went through to make me stronger, or to prepare me for something else. For example – my marriage. Heath and I struggled the first few years and it was just plain hard. I remember being in every prayer line!!! The Lord performed a miracle in our marriage. As He says in His word:

Genesis 50:20 – “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”

When we started ministry, the first people coming to us for prayer where couples needing prayer for their marriage!!! Now let me tell you, we could pray for marriages because we could relate, so we started taking back the ground the enemy tried to steal from us!

So don’t compare your journey to someone else’s. Don’t think something is wrong with you because someone else made it through something quicker than you have. Stand in your Father’s words and seek him, and He will walk you through! The fruit of that journey will be tremendous!!!!
